    a few odd insulators

    Thanks for the comments and the link. I found a picture of it and it is called a "Fireplug Insulator" These were patented in 1910 by a man named Albert Stadermann. Can anyone give me any more additonal info. Any Value in this piece?? Steve

    a few finds from last week

    Here's just a few finds from last week digging. I dug my buttt off and found these 3. The one is a pretty good Utah soda, and the other 2 are probably a bit more common. I haven't found out anything about the jar and would appreciate any input. It is embossed Bishop Company on the bottom...

    Bryan, Was that last post made about my insulators? You mentioned two different types..but actually they are the same. When I found them, I decided to keep the copper wire and wood on one of them. I felt really lucky to find these. I also found two smaller (telegraph) ones at the same time...

    Those are really great looking. Why is is that the '2' is embossed so differently. It looks like it was done differently than the other #'s. I have a few that I found with the same style of #2. Here's a picture. I appreciate any info....as that's always puzzled me. I found about 6 of these...
