I saw one of these these cool bottles other day at an antique shop in Spirit Lake, IA. It was $40-$60 and had a large star on the bottom. it looked like a repro display bottle to me.
Its like a Twilight Zone episode, the guy buys a bottle of PLUTO, uses it as prescribed, and his life becomes 100% perfect. Until he runs out of Pluto, then he becomes constipated etc... the little picture of Satan in the middle of the label should be a small clue about this product/drug.
Here is a Pluto Spring Water bottle with the label intact. It is very light green and 8 oz. It cost 15 cents and was a Doctors sample. There is a date of 1907 on the side label.
I had a really cool silver colored metal container with red embossed lettering and a fancy lid at one time, this bottle looks older and cruder then the one I had. Mine looked like a cookie jar kind of. Cool bottle!

Sorry to see all the damage, hope the water drains quickly. I live in Savage Minnesota and most of this State was spared. Friends of mine in Iowa and Wisconsin are having a really tough time though. Pictures probably dont really show the whole picture, hang in there! Brighter days ahead...

Nice collection. Ive collected lots of stuff and now try to either specialize or think "Quality over quantity" when accumulating stuff. Man, I had thousands of beer cans, they overflowed our house back in the 70's. At this point Ebay is helpful as if I make a buy I usually sell...

Im a newbie too, but have collected tons of stuff. I dont know if its hard to find. They might find hundreds in some cache tomorrow. I doubt it though. I collect ancient bronze coins and its same thing! Someone in Isreal, Iraq, Germany, Cyprus, Lebanon could find a ton of them tomorrow. I...
Those are all really sweet. I tried for that one on the far right, but you beat me to the punch. I score this one off Ebay. Its about 1" taller then the other SS Cokes Ive got and is an Icy blue color. It says root on the bottom, and the bottom is somewhat concave.
Thanks again for the info. on the Illinois Glass Co. Ive Googled this Bottle and found some sold on Ebay etc.. However, all were made after the merger with Owens and have that large O Circling the I. This one must be from the 1920's and prior to that merger. Not sure if it means anything, but...
I would like a raised letter Dr. Pepper if anyone has one available. Ive got a few Debossed bottles, but would like to get an earlier bottle. Ive even got a mini debossed bottle, but still no raised letter version. Any help appreciated.

Here is picture 2. It seems this bottling Company had a rather short life, the glass quality is poor. the bottle is dark but clear "Smokey"-Look at the bubbles!!
Ahhh-Thanks for that, I kind of thought it looked like the Owens-Illinois Glass Company logo except was missing the big O. I bought it on Ebay and it was filthy, but after a little soap and water it looks like it is brand new. The other smaller Coke in that first picture is a 1915 Lynchburg...
