Nice lids Med man. I never thought about bringing them home until I found this forum. Here is a pic of my first one. it is 6"s x 4-5/8"s

the oval lid is a dinner ware made by alfred mekin. the round ones above are likely lids for chamber pots.

I always thought pot lids in bottle land meant those caps with the art on them andnot actual pot lids. Of course, I bring anything in good shape back..someone may want it, I may want to trade it, I may want to give it.

yeah i used to throw em to but started to collect them a few years back look good atop window or door jam , meakin ware is very collectable.....

Whats on the lid in the middle with the transfer ??

prepared by eugene roussel chesnut street philadelphia , amandine for the cure and prevention of chapped hands after washing hands it suffices to rub a small portion of the amandine on them when wet . then to wipe off with linen towel the milky lotion that is produced.

Hi, Portland med. man

Nice Pot lid which would date from the mid to late 1840,s as Roussel started in business in 1842 and sold to Xavier Bazin in 1849.
