base might have a E on the bottom hard to read.

I see the trademark on the heel of the bottle is TMC (Thatcher Mfg. Co.) which was used from ca. 1923-1950s. Usually there is a date on the bottom of the bottle, two numbers like 37 for 1937. Often there is a number before and after the E in the center. I'm not sure what the E stands for but it is very common on milk bottles.
