Small 2 3/4 in. tall. bim and threaded on the bottom. Melissa found it, thought it was a perfume till we washed it up. Have we seen it before ? Thanks.
Now after 76 years of collecting I have never seen one of these. Please show us what is on the bottom: '/ Numbers and letters ". It isn't readable in the picture. If you are selling, I'm interested.
I would also like to know if the mold seam lines up with the mold seam on the sides of the jar - I assume it does. But then I wonder about the seam location around the bottom edge. The finish looks tooled - how far does the seam go up on the neck of the bottle?
The threads on the bottom must have screwed into some kind of holder on a long handle if it was for the cleaning of school house blackboards.
Thanks Mr. Heatley, That looks like it could have a bottle with a swabbing cap on it, and a handle for use. It is an interesting mold making problem.
I can't imagine how they cut the threads din the mold. It would take a uniique mold making
set-up - on a special piece of fixturing.
