I found this near Charleston SC. It appears to be a dip mold as there is a slight circular seam mark around the top of the cylinder. The glass is very thin! amazing it survived. The neck is hand worked as well as the lip. Obvious pontil on the bottom. The lip seems to be flared on the top and the back end worked into a 'v' shape. That's what gets me about this...the lip resembles the english mallet / ale bottles. And the cork is still in the bottle.
It looks more like an olive oil bottle to me with long neck on a cylinder and thin glass. I like the color and character of it. Nice find, prolly European circa 1820
