Looks a lot like my sauce bottle. But does the mouth have a ledge inside it? tick your pinkie in it. My photo does a poor job of showing it, but it has a small ledge in there that is common to sauce bottles. Then the other one shows you a hand-tooled double-collar sauce bottle circa 1890 like yours--but mine is embossed. The size and style fits Bert's educated guess well.
By the way, Bert, the old stapler does work quite well, after having had cleared it of it's jam. Someone incorrectly loaded it, and also loaded it with staples of the wrong size.
Bert, you learn quickly. There were a few other things I did not post--one turned out to be a letter opener, plastic, but an old one judging by the style of dress on the people. 1950s-60s we think. Ayone recall Fuller company? My nephew broke my last stapler. [:-] If he breaks this one, he must be Hulk because this thing is heavy duty.
I have a question though, without answering "Sun colored" or "The color of the Sun" could someone tell me what color/shade "sun colored" is? I think I had known, but had somehow forgotten it.
Forgive me for taking over your thread. I'll shut up now and move it back to my own.
