Hello all:

Had a rough weekend personally..(not the brown bottle flu[:D][:D]). And the back went out on Thurs/Fri which didnt make things better. So with things looking alittle better and feeling coming back to my lower extemities...it was off to the dump. The other day I ...well in laymans terms...I dug a pit. Got real upset with that on Thurs but it paid off alittle today. Here are the finds:
1 gauvins Sirop d'anis
1 Swamp Root (but a remedy)
1 clay marble
1 Ball jar
1 Utility bottle
1 Major Cement New York
1 of the most majestic [:D][:D] Pepto Magnun bottles ever to grace this fine earth.
1 damn good day to be with the glass

Here is bottling to me. There are ones that are precious and you love to dig no matter the value others have for it. These are the 3 utility jars I have found so far. I just like the blue and look real nice in the bathroom shelf.

The Swamp had its label on it. Should I try to save it?? Prob not but if it was abit better then maybe. I just love how 100 years later these labels survive. And did my homework, Cures went to Remedies in 1906, lets hope there are bottles under the layer I found this one.

Nice digs, Ben. The Steer's Head is a good jar, hopefully there is a good one waiting for you. Glad to hear that you're feeling better. ~Jim

Thank you Jim Mo and Cap. Yeah I thought the dirt would make me feel abit better. Nothing like being in a hole to keep it cool. And I am lucky that my whole dump area that I have dug is in the shade. Found these in a rust layer. Hope to get there tomorrow. Madpaddla

hi ben, you have some nice finds there. hope you find a nice fraccus bros. jar. where there is 1 there may be more. hope your back stays ok. i did some research on heat related trouble. i take frozen water bottles, when i feel i'm getting to hot and i steam my glasses up, i rest drink the water that is not frozen, then but the bottle under my arms. it helps bring your body temp. down, that cuts back on the need for your body to sweat to much to keep cool. it can help avoid a heat stroke. it helped me sun. , i only found 4 marbles tho. i did get some cinder blooks and rocks carried up the hill. hope you have some great finds. rhona

Hey Ben - That Flaccus is a heartbreaker, but where there's smoke there's fire. Looks like there's some good age in that dump: fun aint it? I may just be crazy enough to go out tomorrow myself in the evening. Its supposed to over a 100 here, but the gods repay diligence. Later.
