Hello,
I've recently been doing some digging in my yard for different reasons. Yesterday I found a couple of bottles and a glass cover as well.
A few months ago I found a cold creme jar (not labeled) and a Waterman's Ink Well. I've never really researched old bottles until recently. It's overwhelming. Trying to find what matches is sometimes pretty difficult.
What I've posted picks of here is a bottle that is marked "Premier" on the front. Another bottles that has 8 sides, but there is no markings whatsoever. The 3rd is a white glass lid that says "BABY" on the inside.
My house was built in 1900. I know the land before was used as a brickyard. I have found quite large collection bricks that were stamped what I think are from the 20's or so. I do not know much else as I've only been there 4 years or so.
Does anyone know what these items were used for? Any info would be appreciated. I"m so curious.
