I dug this cool jar marked W. T. Co (Whitall Tatum Co) on the base. It was found with the original cotton inside! Was the contents ONLY cotton or something else? Has this happened to anyone before?

Are we sure it's cotton....? If it is, it might have been just to absorb moisture. All my vitamin bottles have a big ball of fluff in them, too.

For what its worth, I say it's hand blown with a ground top.
