I have a mint condition pontiled torpedo available as a swap for quality English pontiled cures.
The bottle is pale to mid olive green, with a large and jagged solid pontil mark, and is embossed 'J. Schweppe & Co / Genuine Superior / Aerated Water / 79 Margaret Street'. It was discovered in the thatched roof of an old cottage in southern England about 2 years ago, and has been in my own collection since then.
Schweppes moved away from the Margaret Street address in January 1831, when they moved to Berners Street.
The bottle is about as mint as you'll get. The only mark I can find on it is a faint rust stain around the neck right below the lip, where the original wire was that held the cork in.
It's a top end bottle, but since I really only collect early English meds and cures it's available as a swap for that kind of item.
