I've been excavating the same site for the past 2 years and so far this is what I have to show in the category of dental hygiene (dating from the 1890's to turn of the 20th century).
One bone toothbrush inscribed 'AKIBA WARRANTED PERFECT', and one milk white glass tooth powder dispenser marked 'Odol'.
The toothbrush would have once likely sported boar's bristles and the tooth powder reportedly would have had a recognizable minty taste. I don't know what kind of bones Akiba used to make their toothbrushes, if anyone knows feel free to share - I would be stoked to know if it was whale bone as I know this was an extremely popular material in the 1800's.
Here is all dental hygiene-related finds from three different sites I am currently digging ranging in age from about 1890-1913:
