...and the dentist who after a thorough cleaning, examination, six fillings, two extractions and a crown or two, charged me so much money that I was forced to grow the collection slowly. And keep him fed and clothed.So...what were YOU able to afford this year to knock socks off?Three colas of note, as pictured: a Pepsi Syrup, a very rare red on white Big Cola from Hattiesburg, MS and an off-grade but extremely rare (maybe unknown, certainly unlisted) Bidu Cola.Three picture acls added this year including my Christmas present, Duke Beverages, 1955. Also snagged two great Southern acls off my rusty old want-list...Big Hit Beverages, 1940 and Hazel from 1939.2014 began with a bang as I picked up a White LightninG and and old Arky acl...and upgraded the orange-black checkerboard Fordyce Beverages. What's your best soda finds...2013?

Yada, Yada. You did score two fantastic southern sodas. The Big Hit and Brown Boy are way up on my rusty ole list. I have one version of the Hazle and am looking for that one and one more. Thanks for sharing

I did pick up some ACLs (along with some GA embossed bottles) that were on my list. They include a Red Race (red body, white lettering), Snatch, Glee Club, Deacon Jones, Lucky Sam, OooGee, Terry's and Jane Justice. It was a very good year because all of these are high on my list. Had to sell a few too.

I made a New Year's resolution last year to totally fix my teeth. Starting in Feb 2013 to Dec 2013 I had 2 extractions , 8 fillings , two root canals and three crowns. And still lack a couple of extractions. And did I forget to mention no insurance ! Cash on the barrel head each trip. But do feel much better and look better. As for bottles I had a good year with a lot of bottles found I had searched long and hard for. Best finds were some locals that I had no idea even existed ! 2014 is starting good I bought a old store out Friday (the bottles had all been put in grain silo's behind an old Gin. I think there are some good ones in there but until this horrible cold (5 degrees as I write) moves on I won't be able to pic them up.
