Took a little, a lot of adjusting but it's tumbling. I think the worst part was cutting all the copper, grinder nippers and someone feeling sorry for me bought me a big bag of it on the internet.
A little grit goes a long way. It needs to break down to even a finer grit. If you put too much it doesn’t break down and leaves a white haze. This might just be my machine but you have to learn by trial and error on your homemade machine. What is the RPM’s on a 4” tube?Took a little, a lot of adjusting but it's tumbling. Congrats, now we need to see the end results. LEON.
I'm not really sure what the RPM is somebody gave this to me it didn't have a belt so I'm just kind of winging it, it's really not moving that fast. I'm not necessarily going for a brand new look, I just wanted to look a little nicer and yeah it's trial and error. I think I'm mostly just going to use copper and water for a day or two and then put in some bartenders helper and see how that works.A little grit goes a long way. This is really good copper and it gets hot really fast when you grind it but I could get it as small as I want to.Looks good. Show some results. How do you nip the wire mailman. Robbie, you said you had devised a way to cut it quickly. I’ve got about 30# of bare bright copper I reclaimed from my shore house remodel, I’m using a large old tin snip, I can cut 4 or more strands at a time, but will still take a while. This is the look I'm shooting for, I'll have to get a little organized with my before and after. I just use an applesauce container for the small bottles. I have a hutch I'm tumbling now, it's been 2 days a little result, not sure how long those thicker bottles take.Looks good. Show some results. How do you nip the wire mailman. I knew there's a reason why I'm on this, ThanksI don't think just water & copper alone will accomplish much. it needs some kind of abrasive. LEON.
ROBBYBOBBY64.I use this flush cutters with a pipe extension. I can cut up to 3/16 inch thick copper rod.
