Does anyone else know of any other bottles in this form with different embossing? Someone told me there was 4-5 different bottles in this shape. color, form with different embossing. The metal cap fits on all three bottles. The first bottle reads:Lamb's Pure VT Maple syrup. (one on the far right) Threaded lip, 8 sided) The next two are M Hazen D bottles. The middle is a shorter size. (I was told the Hazen was a Maples Syrup also??.) The larger bottle has a poison wood alcohol sticker on it.It reads: Wood Alcohol For Burning, also for the use in the arts.Poison Caution,Antidote: give warm water and salt. (two teaspoons to a tumblerful immediately. repeat at short intervals. stimulate respiratory movements and give strong coffee. Its also has a little provenance behind its history. It readsFrom the Mason A Foley Collection of things purchased from Decoy Maker Joseph Lincolns shop Gardner St. HinghamJ P Richardson old F. H.

I have one of these that looks the same as yours, no embossing with a paper label for Sumner's Perfectly Pure Maple Syrup. I bought this thinking that it might be something rare, as I had never seen one of these before and around here maple syrup was never packaged in anything other than tin gallon cans, at least as far as I know. I posted it on here and from the responses I got, it seems to be a somewhat common form, maybe for shipment to areas that did not produce maple syrup.

Yea I think the Maple products from VT, ME, and NH were shipped to europe. canada, and other parts of the country. I found a Sumner's out of Maine. Does the label have any other details about where its from? -keith

The bottom of the label on mine that probably had the location is gone. Not sure how a Maine maple syrup bottle would have made its way to ne ohio where at that time pretty much every farm had a sugar bush.
