try sticking that in some oxalic acid..that should take the rust off without messing up the paint (I use it on old tins.....beer cans I dig up)....you can get it at the hardware store as "wood bleach" or "deck wash".......among other places.....just make sure you do it outside or in the garage....the fumes arent good for you.but..its not that strong of an acid (its the stuff that makes rhubarb leaves posionous)....citric works too.but eats paint off

No, not yet, Im still working my way through the bottles. Spent most of today repairing the plumbing in the kitchen sink as I clogged it up with bottle dirt lol.
The cup seems to be in great condition apart from the edge rust, the base is still sound. I'll post some more pics when it's cleaned up.
