Hello, Im new to this so I hope I do this correctly. I have this light amethyst flask which stands approx. 6" tall and 3" wide. It has a very crude and uneven screw top neck and there are no marking on the bottle. There are seems on the sides of the bottle that run through the lib but there are distorted at the neck and liip where it appears that the bottle was hand tooled. There are also some very small marks on the top of the mouth (which is flat and off round) which give me the inpression that it was ground. I will try to upload a photo. Can anyone help me identify this bottle or point me in the right direction. Thank you very much.

I am guesing that your flask is not amethyst, but is Sun Glass (Maganese in bottle clearing agent, but when sitting under sun turns to Light or darker purple.) So your bottle would have been made probally prior to 1914 or 1915. Are those inside threads in neck?
