I was wondering if anyone knows the value of this BALL PERFECT MASON jar-the embossing is sharply raised-I think it sounds like 281 in red book9-any help would be appreciated-thanks

Your frind most likley told you it was worth about $1-$2 but if it has the number 13 on on the base its worth $10-$15 on the internet. The story behind that number is that the house wives in the old days thought that was an unluckly # so they would smash them there for there are less of them now.
