People can ask whatever price they want - doesn't mean they're selling. I find some sellers try to really upsell (especially on Etsy) Ball mason jars because the name is so recognizable, and these blue jars are always pretty.
Your jar is the 1910-1923 one, where the "triple l" was dropped and the "a" was given a solid base dip to the left.
Other than being blue and a Ball mason with the original zinc top, there isn't much I can pick out about your jar. the only other thing that I know that affects the value of these are and manufacturing defects (misspellings, etc.), or mold #13 (yours is mold #6). I'm seeing most of this style selling for between $8 and $20 on eBay, with the only ones going much higher than $40 being the rare half pint sized ones. Here's a few for sale:
Like I said earlier - they are an easily recognizable bottle for non-collectors (most people have seen a Ball mason jar in their lifetime), and the aqua hue is pretty to the eye, but they were a mass-produced item. Curious if anyone with more knowledge of mason jars can give more insight or if this is some special variant that I don't have the knowledge about.
