As a New Englander, Baltimore has been just a little farther than I'm willing to travel for a bottle show the last few years. However, a place to stay with relatives paired with a day of research at the Library of Congress proved to be the tipping point. The result? It was a fantastic show! Honestly a bit overwhelming, but I found a great selection of RI bottles. I probably bought about 75% of the RI bottles I saw, and most were very reasonably priced. Needless to say I plan to go again! Not pictured are two rare RI ACL sodas, I posted them under the soda section. D.G. Hall, one of the more commonly seen pontiled RI sodas, but scarce with a tapered lip! This one was marked $125 with a big base chip. I asked the dealer what was the best he could do, and he said $50! Not a bad discount.
Now that's an iron pontil!
I have quite a few pontiled Davis Vegetable Pain Killers, but not this scarce rolled lip variant! It was a steal for $20
A nice early hinge molded Dyer's Healing Embrocation
This rare RI whiskey has been on my want list for some time! The dealer's table was half off, so $7 took it home.
This Rhode's Fever & Ague Cure has been a long time coming. I have passed by quite a few on ebay and at shows, but decided this time around I ought to buy one.
A nice Geo. L. Claflin & Co. Providence, RI med with original label
A Hazard Hazard & Co. Chemists New York & Newport, RI with the original label
Lastly, my best deal of the show! Four Rumford bottles for 50 cents apiece. They were all unlisted.
