I recently moved to a different apartment in an older home. today I was putting the summer tires in the unfinished basement and noticed a glass bottle between the stone foundation and the wooden beams. Excited, I climbed onto an empty 5 gallon bucket and reached into the space to grab it. Just an old unmarked Mason jar. Good age, but nothing remarkable. Curious, I decided to check the other spaces throughout the basement and found these two:

Too bad about the labels. They're three piece molds. One is an applied top, the other has both an applied top and separate ring.

It looks like the Beacon Trading Company was around at least by the mid 1800s and was a distribution point for a variety of food related products.

Someone from around that area might be able to shed a bit more light.

My friend is an electrician and always finds oldbottles in walls and crawl spaces. He doesn't collect so he gives them to me. I've gotten some great local bottles that way.
