Beer Bottle?

I think this might be a beer bottle can anyone give me some backround on it The bottle is a dark green and stands 9.5 inches tall. The lettering is JSP

It's not shaped the way a beer bottle should be.. I would say it's the malt extract bottle spoken of in cc6pack's link..

looks like an older varient.I`ve got three of them, all much lighter in color.The embossing on yours looks older.Nice bottle.

I have dug many of them and they were all teal and dated to around 1890. That's a nice color variant and the embossing tells me it is older than 1890.
