I have found in Estate sale a Berkshire bitters pig, 10' embossed Amann & co cincinnati 0 what i need to know is how to tell if it is a repro. The condition is exc. there is a small flea chip on the pontil, it has junk inside(dirt) but a cork stuck in it, don't want to mess with it.
I am having the Estate sale this fri-sat 29th/30th in Clio mi and would love feed back locally. thanks Kathy

I do not believe Berkshire Bitters were reproduced. If it's dard/medium amber IMO it should be good to go. A picture would confirm it.

Looks good from the pic but it's really hard to say without more pic's or the ability to handle it in peson. If it's real it's a great bottle in the thousands, too bad you didn't have the time to take it top an expert or really advertise it for sale, that would have guaranteed top dollar for this botle. If it's real it should be in a Glass House auction like Norman Hecklers or one of his equals....Jim

You can e-mail me more pic's and I'll be happy to post them, this should really be in an auction and not an estate sale....Jim epackage@msn.com

The more pic's the better and natural light would be great....

Here are the photos of the Berkshire Bitters that I got from the listing on Estatesales.net. It is a really nice looking bottle, I don't think that it has been reproduced either.

Also on the listing for the sale, I noticed that the location is very close to a Berkshire Dr. I imagine that the former owner bought this bottle for that reason. Berkshire Bitters / Berkshire Dr. It is also odd to see one nice high end bottle like that and no other bottles in the listing...

Not sure on that lip treatment, I think this one is the higher priced bottle with tooled lip...Jim...Would love to see more pic's of both sides outside in the light, with a closeup of the lip...
