Still trying to find info. on these two utilities. I posted them in the digging section of the forum and can't seem to get any info on them. Kungfufighter, earlyglass, anyone ?
Thanx, Chris

the one on the left looks unreal. I've found that with blackglass, the more different it looks from the normal pieces, the more its worth, so they both have a little something going for them.

These look like early Baltimore utilities to me. Are they a deep reddish amber or dark pucey color?

Chris,

Wherever they are from, it is obviously the same maker... same glass, form, pontil, etc... just different lip treatments.

They are nice and early. I see a shallow bubble on one of them... you may be able to figure color from a strong light on the thin or bubble areas.

Try holding them up to a light source like a looking glass, through the neck, and see if any color passes through the bases..

OR... you could do what Joe said.. in fact, you should use both of our suggestions simultaneously, look through both at the same time.. maybe you'll get a glimpse of the 14th dimension? [8D][;)]
