Thought I would share this one with you all. It was acquired some time back in a trade with one of our members. I'm sorry, I have forgotten who, but I like it. It is a small 2 3/4" tall perfume bottle with a tooled top, circa 1890 - 1910. It is embossed on one front panel: LAZELL. The odd thing is that it was apparently exposed to high heat as the bottom corner on one side is blown out. (I hope the pictures show it clear enough) The entire base is bulbous and there are fractures associated with all that but it is intact. I am amazed that this could happen and the upper 1/3 of the bottle appears undamaged at all. Perhaps it was sealed tight and the contents expanded.Anyway, this goes to show that it doesn't take much to amuse an OLD man with too much time on his hands.

Bottleguy I couldn't make out what the blow out is or was. So it is a bottlemystery to me. I have not seen this bottle before I guess. <bottlemysteries@yahoo.net> will get you to me. I am always looking for different marks created in the making of glass items. Visit my homepage and get in touch with me. RED Matthews
