Recently joined Antique-Bottes.net. I have been collecting about 25 years, mostly medicine bottles. I don’t having anything very valuable but I enjoy what I have. I have a Perry Davis and Son vegetable pain killer that is 4 3/4” tall. Was wondering if anyone might know age and or value.
Thank you,
Sportsturf

Hi Sportsturf and welcome to our community,

Its more rare to see a Davis Pain Killer with an intact label. People like the quack cures with opium, etc. too. As is, a ball park figure would be about $75. Now, if you/someone else VERY CAREFULLY cleaned it up, at a show, $100.

I see a lot of them in my area but full labels are very rare. I'd say you found this in a barn, cellar, or attic. Congrats on finding the king of the pain killers. This one packed a wallop!

Thank you so much for the reply. A friend who was cleaning out some areas and ran across it and knew I liked old bottles and gave it to me. He said his grandfather was a doctor and the bottle was in his office for many years.
Thanks again. I appreciate the info.
