My daughter found this bottle half buried in the tiny creek behind our house (suburbs of a Midwestern city). We've found lots of bottle pieces but this is the first full bottle we've found. It's about 4" tall, 1" deep, does have side seams all the up the to the top, has a B (with serifs) in a circle on the center of the bottom. From what I found, it looks like maybe the Boldt Glass marking, or maybe Brockway? Any idea what it held? Thanks!

Brockway Machine Bottle (1907-33) and the Charles Boldt Glass Manu. Co.(1900-29) have very similar manufacturing dates, so sounds like, your daughter found a washed out bottle from a deposit of early 20th century bottles! I would guess, this is an aftershave or perfume or cologne. Check back , with your daughter, no telling what mysteries are buried in that cheek.

That looks like a 1940-1960s bottle. Brockway, Pennsylvania (1907-1988) looks to be about right. I am pretty sure Charles Boldt Glass Co. only made whiskey/beer type bottles. Most likely a perfume/cologne as CreekWalker said. If you could describe the numbers embossed on the base we could get a more accurate date.
