Hi everyone, this may be the best addition to my collection so far, every issue of Old Bottle Magazine from 1969 thru 1978. I have only opened 1 of the packages so far and I am floored by the info in each issue. Every issue has a "Ask Dug" Q &A section, Putnam Bottling section, Main features, Insulators section, Jar section, Wanted & For Sale or trade section, Whiskey bottle feature and tons of old pricing guides in each issue....WOW is all I can say.....JIM

Hey Jim,

Nice reference library in kraft paper there. They look very lightly handled. I think you're gonna have a page sided seat with a B/W view of the "glory days" of digging and the earlier focuses of collectors.

I believe it's already been a resourcfe with your great "Camel Sadddle Bottle" ad recovery over in Pre-1900. You got some time capsule reading to do. Have a great read...

There's much lost wisdom and many clues to help us with our present quests in those pages.. already you've used them to help figure out the Persian saddle flask brainflog.. you could be quite the hero if you keep hooking us up with such tasty vintage goodies! In your own time, of course..
Jim, I gotta say, you pursue your interests with incredible passion, and I admire you for it!

Joe the Crow, how about all those mags you "inherited" from one of those great diggers from that time?

Thanx guys, I have only looked thru one set so far and there is SOOOOOO much to take in it makes the head spin. I plan on going thru each issue starting this weekend and making a list of what is in each issue so I can go to any issue and help people with their questions and whatever else the info may bring. You're right Charlie I am that way, some people think it's a bad thing, but to me the passion gives me the enjoyment of getting to learn about a subject to it's fullest. That in turn let's me help others and it has been very good financially to be honest, in times like this I am not complaining about that end of it for sure.

Here is bottle I was curious about in my recent finds and then in the 5th or 6th magazine I found the article about it...
