Hi again, I have one of those basket weave flasks in NY. That is one beautyfull mold making product. It is beyond concept of creating that with a hammer and chisels in the mold cavity. RED Matthews

I agree Red and I've wondered about that too.
Could the have sandcasted or something an actual woven bottle to make the mold?
It seems like a lot of work to chisel it out. I'm not that clear on production methods for something like that.
