Did Boyd's make canning jars? I can't seem to find anything. Yesterday while digging, I came acrossed 2 lids opalescent white, Boyd's Genuine Porcelain Lined Cap on the rim and small circles on the middle. They resemble the old Ball jar lids, that went with the wire top closure. I found them along, with some broken pontils on a hill.

Hi Carmen, While Boyd did make fruit jars, I believe what you found are the milk glass liners to zinc lids. Often, the metal corrodes away leaving just the liner. Unless they're really unusual, there's no value without the rest of the lid. -Tammy

Thanks! I did some more digging and found them with the zinc lids, and lots of broken jars. Still digging!
