Found this big Hi-Klas soda bottle in a rather large and bountiful trash pile in my woods. I felt it was special even broken so I cleaned it up and glued it. This spot has given me quite a few goodies. This land used to be a cattle farm and under all the old barbwire there are lots more bottles. Lots of old milk bottles, so many I don't know what to do with. I hope to get more unearthed before snow comes. I'm in Michigan near Kalamazoo so a lot of local bottles of course. Hope this bottle has an intact sister! Fingers crossed

Welcome to the forum! Shame it's broken, I like those art deco graphics. Sounds like you've got a good site, if it's full of milk bottles it's likely an old dairy's dump. Those weren't usually supposed to be thrown away otherwise. If that's the case it's a very lucky find, and there are probably a lot more buried in there!

By the way, here's what your bottle would originally have looked like:

Thanks for the welcome! I dont think the dairy was here on the land but definitely a lot of milk drinkers. I've got 3 spots on my land I've found bottles on but this spot is the best so far. I kept the bottle because of the elephant on it but the photo you shared is how I found this forum, which im glad I did!

That would be a nice bottle if you can find some whole ones. I'd be interested in any Michigan milks or other Michigan bottles you may find since I live in Michigan & specialize in Michigan Bottles. I'd go back to look for more. Curious, any old rusty Beer Cans in there? I collect those also. Good luck & Welcome to the site. Leon.

Hello. I have a few I might part with I can see what I got. I have a lot from Paw Paw which is a town over, the Golden Guernsey half pints. A few from this small area. The cans I've found here are Hamms I think but seem in bad shape but a few. I feel like those were on top of the trash heap. Like they chucked everything in the pit than had a sixer. At my old house I found a really good Phifer can that was only a third rusted. I sold it to a prof at Western University who teaches about erosion and decomp. I wish I kept it cause it was my first. I can post more of my finds since I've been in this house later

I'm betting the Pfeiffer can was the yellow one, those are common & seem to hold up extremely well in outdoor dumps. the older 1930's Hamms are about the only valuable & desirable ones. post more pics. LEON.

Thats the one, he had the black shoes. Mine had a pristine side and minimal rust from the soil. I hope to find another, but I'm happy with anything that comes up. I can add more pics soon, thanks for the interest!
