It does not stand up. I was thinking it was a "Friendship Jug" passed around by a group. After taking a drink, it would be passed to the nest guy standing there on the street corner.
It looks like a modern art piece. It's just too weird for me to see it being any older than 1950. The glaze is a color that would have been unusual in the west. To me, it looks like modern art glass. It's probably a form of milk glass.
