This 12 ounce beer bottle is from 1937 from a local brewery, Peter Bub Brewery, in Winona, MN. The brewery closed in 1969. I have not seen this bottle in any antique stores in the area or online. My mother bought a case of them from an estate sale in the 1970's I believe. She gave each of us kids one and sold the balance of the case to someone with a brewery not in the area. A 1960 style lager beer bottle with paper label from this brewery goes for $14-17. A picnic size bottle with paper label goes for $40. in the antique stores. I have see a "German" style beer bottle with paper label from this brewery on display, but not for sale. The bottle is 12 ounce, 7" tall, 2.75" wide. Bottle made in West Virginia by Owens Illinois Glass Co. Duraglas. At least that is what I understand from the markings on the bottom. I am guessing the scarcity may be due to WWII and our displeasure with Germany.
Any help with what I should price this bottle at is dearly appreciated. I will be selling it in the Winona, MN area.
