Cobalt Blue J. W. Harris soda New Haven, Conn.

I recently got this nice iron pontiled cobalt blue soda from New Haven, Conn. It's not in the best shape; it has some chipping on one half of the lip, but other than that it's not too bad, just some staining and scratching. I was wondering how much this damage would affect the value. In mint or near mint condition, I've heard of this bottle selling for $300 and up, but does anyone have any idea how much this damage would decrease that number? It's embossed "J. W. Hi, I collected Connecticut Iron pontil sodas for years and had about 30 all different molds and colors. I would say in the condition it's in would be $50 to $100 depending how bad someone wants one. A mint example would be more like $500 and up.
Still a very nice looking bottle.

I wouldn't loose any sleep about that finish. It just shows bottle life as it lived. RED M.
