According to Allan Petretti it is a real Coca-Cola hutch and he is considered the foremost expert on Coca-Cola memoribilia. Hope this helps.

Of course with a repaired top its no where near worth $2000 but I think $250 is fair for a rare bottle like that in good condition.

Here's the one from my collection that was dug by me with some of the Brunswick, Ga Coke hutches back in the 1980s. This one still has the wire loop inside the bottle. Also this one does not have any repairs. Enjoy. Buster

Wow.. you must of been excited when you dug this one.. I prob. could not even put a price on it if I came across something like that digging. Going through the effort and time make it truly something special. Keeper for sure

Thanks Uncle Jarvis. Kind of an interesting story behind this one. They were digging a drainage ditch to put in a culvert for an overpass when the trackhoes unearthed these. They were loading the dumptrucks with that sticky grey clay and hauling it off. My brother and I followed the trucks and got permission from the landowner to go through the mounds of dirt. I was broke at the time and sold the Brunswick, Ga hutches, but still have several hutches from that dig. buster.
