Columbia, S.C. Big Boy Bottle

Hello all!

I found this bottle here in Columbia, SC the other day as I was walking in the woods. I saw one other like it on here, but there wasn't any information about it other than it was probably a Ginger Ale bottle.

Here's the details on mine:
It's embossed with "Columbia Product" on top of the box, "G and W" boxed in the middle and "Pale Dry" on the bottom.
On the side of the base it reads, "BIG BOY BOTTLING CO."
On the base it has "COLUMBIA, S.C."
It also has the Diamond with an I logo which I believe is the Owens-Illinois makers mark...

Any Ideas on the date or where it was actually made?

nice bottle. there should be a number on each side of the logo. one is the plant # it was made at and the other is the date code.

Here's what I gathered so far...
From what I understand, it was made in Huntington, WV in 1946. It was sent to Big Boy Bottling Co. near Columbia, SC to fill it with Ginger Ale...

or am I completely wrong?

Big Boy was in busniess in Cola. from 1928-32. This bottle is from the same peroid. There is one that is clear that came from G&W proper. G&W stands for Gillis and Whitesides also from Columbia.
