I'm sure you'll like this one, Bob. I found this beauty on eBay, and I picked it up for $16.50... According to Bob, near mint ones go for $200 and up. It's a 1944 Country Boy acl from the Encanto Bottling Company in San Diego. The seller's description of condition was not very in-depth, and I took a little bit of a chance buying it, but it was worth it. It has no damage, and the biggest issue is a small faded spot right above the "T". ACL Congrats ... I have been a little preoccupied lately and just now saw this thread. The Country Boy is indeed a hard bottle to find and you made a great catch. Mine is almost identical to yours - same glass maker - same plant and date - same style numbers. The only difference is that yours has a mold number of 3, whereas mine has a mold number of 1. So I guess you could call them "cousins." [] I noticed the seller was located in San Diego but I do not know who they are. They also have some other San Diego sodas listed, and have my eye on a couple of them. The others I already have. By the way, my Country Boy is in almost pristine mint condition and may never have been circulated.
