Couple of Tuscaloosa Alabama SS Cokes

Got these from a family that found them in an old trunk. There was a note in there from the grandmother describing how the two cokes were part of the picnic where the grandfather proposed to her. The family kept the note. It's interesting that the two bottles were evidently in use at the same time and place with the same markings but one is a blue color, the other green...and the script is slight different since that on the blue is smaller and thinner.

Very cool story behind those bottles.

They also have some monetary value . not too common and look to be in great condition.

Thanks Jarvis! The story really 'made' these for me. There is actually a photo of the sparking couple from that day as part of a large crowd...but there were no coke bottles in evidence in the photo although you can see some picnic baskets and buckets (of food, I presume) on some benches in the background to the side. I hope to get the note one day. I've been promised at least a photocopy of it.
