Not regular Cateyes (you are right) they are Caged Vitros

Nice wirepulls !The cats eyes can have some nice surprizes when looking closely . Hybrid cats (same vane two colored) Peltier banana cats (vane is cigar or banana shaped),there also could be adventrine cats (looks like sparkles in the vane coloring) Sometimes these are found as well ,i call them phantom cats ,regular 4 blue vane cat with irregular white streaks or striations .[]

Great info guys....why the name "wirepull"? they pulled a wire thru the hot glass?

Joe ,these strands are usually continuous through the marble ,just looks like glass was pulled thru with wire ,i think .Think also they were made in Germany ,i am sure Road Dog will have better explaination he knows marbles i only wish i knew []

I will check tomorrow and see if there are any unusual cat eye marbles in there.

Not sure where "wirepull' came from. If it's like most marble names it wasn't a name given by the manufacturer. Lots of marble get their names from collectors and kids that played with them. Wirepulls are German. Vacor also makes a newer wirepull type marble.

Nice Cateye. I don't really collect them , but have quite a bit. I'll have to post a Vitro Horseshoe Cat I have. Someone put together a chart on rarity for Cateyes. It dealt with vane types, colors, number and of course maker.
