I went back up digging in NH today, I was werry excited to find mt 1st Amber case jin, As a matter of fact it was even my 1 case Jin. Here is a picture wile digging it out!
It was a great day, Weather was super, Found a nice Carters master inc, a amber poison, 3 local blobs and about 20 other misc. bottles. Have to dig before everything up here is FROZEN![:'(]
Nice pics, Mike. I have yet to find my first intact case gin. I've been ripping up an older dump that has been giving up lots of inks and olive green ales among other things. Got my first good blob out of there last time. Good luck with the rest of that site. ~Jim
Here are my keepers cleaned up. Some are still sick and will need to be tumbled like the QT Carters master ink. I will post before and after pic's when I am done tumbeling. The gin truly came oup premo. If I saw it at an antique store I would think it came from an attic and not dug.
And here is a cool little ink that Matt tossed back because it had a small crack! It cleand nicely and I don't care about the crack I think it will display good!
Excellent finds! I can't get over this state when it comes to digging, so many dumps so little time [] I definately will be throwing some tarps over some of my best holes and bringing the sledge for some winter digging!
Here's one example of NH's famous *LAYERS OF GOLD* []
Hey Mike, What great results!!! I've never managed to turn up a case gin, and that one is just super. The ink looks great too, even if it has a crack. That site has treated you very well over the past couple of weeks. You're digging so-o-o deep, I hope someone's covering your back side while you're down there. Hope you turn some more 'goodies'. - billm
