We were palnting trees and about 2 feet down we found about 4 or 5 of the same kind of bottle. Only 1 intact. We may have broken some with the shovel. Does anyone know what this could have been for and possible how old it would be.

It's a scotch whisky bottle, for Dimple Haig. That blend was first sold in the 1890s, but I don't know when that shape of bottle was first used. It's still available - sold in screw top bottles. That one looks like a 1940s - 60s bottle?

Hi, and welcome to the bottle forum...Your bottle has an interesting shape and cool lip finish, but appears machine made, so is made after 1900 ,....Just a wild guess, but maybe some sort of spirits....I'm not sure if it has any value....[:)] Joe

That would make sense. The house was built in the 40's and there was a nursery behind the house. Maybe our yard was used as a dump spot. Thanks for your response.

I believe they call that shape of a bottle a pinch bottle in my area . As others stated , most likely a spirits bottle .

Thanks to everyone. I thought it was such a cool bottle, but there were no markings so I thought it must have had a label. So glad some of you knew what it was. It didn't matter if it was worth anything. JUst thought it was cool I found it.
