It may still yet be a mission. The bottle is very similar to the Johnson City 12oz Mission. It could have been a paper label. Unfortunately due to the weak nature of this acl most don't leave any ghosting.

As for Lee I was just kidding about the stuck up thing. It is odd that he didn't call me once this week, I do usually get at least one phone call. I kinda figured that he was sitting out on digging for a couple of weeks like I told him, to give the coon time to move on or die, knowing Lee he most likely ignored that advice as well. You are his friend and if you are noticing something odd about him lately as well maybe something is eating at him, I'm just hoping it's not the coon. LOL!

To be honest with you madman I have no idea why they used the upside down star on the Nu-Grapes, and the Nu-Icys, I guess they were just going for a tradmark and had something for stars. If you recall there is a star incorporated in the Five Points acl as well, not to meantion later incarnations of the Nu-grape bottles. I can't remember right off if the star appears on the earlier straight side bottles.

There was another bottle I ran across that was patented during the 1920s for the same bottle design but no Nu-Grape script and the star was designed to be a fox's head. Maybe this was Nu-Grapes design and idea before choosing the Nu-Grape name. I would explain why the star is upside down.
