i bought this at a yard sale and don't know where else to ask what it is? although it doesn't fit into the "bottle" category. the material from the rim of the bottom has black specks in the mixture. the bottle seems to be made into 2 parts and you can see the rim and "fingerprints". it is primitive looking but of course could have been made in the '60's...??
thanks loads!

Hi,
This bottle as you have been told is known as a Tiger Whisky but most actually held rice wine and are Chinese and from the picture appears to be from around the 1880- 1890 period . These bottles are relatively common and usually sell for around $ 20.00

The fingerprints around the bottom are from where the person was holding the bottle when it was dipped into the color glaze.
