This is a closeup of the spider on the front of the bottle. The bottle is about 4 inches tall, 1 7/8 inches wide, and 1 inch deep (front to back).

There is a thread in this forum about that flask. I think it has a pic with a lable. Use the search feature.

Here is a Digger O'Dell question on that bottle, with answer, at

"My father has recently found a bottle[/b]. We are not bottle[/b] collectors but he thinks it might be an antique. It is in good shape (no chips or breaks). It is clear in color and has a design of a spider[/b] web[/b] made into the glass. There is also a spider[/b] in the center on the front and back of the bottle[/b] that is also made into the glass. My Dad thinks it may be an old whiskey bottle[/b]. I have searched for a picture of one like it but have been unable to locate one. If you have any information about this type bottle[/b] please let me know. I appreciate any help you might be able to provide. Thank

Your whiskey flask is common. The spider[/b] web[/b] motif was popular from the 1880s-1930s. I'd guess a value of $5-8. "

The seam does not go all the way up. This bottle looks almost identical to the picture of one posted earlier in the forum that has its labels still attached. However, my bottle is much smaller. It measures just 3 inches from the shoulder down, 1 3/4 inches from side to side and about 1 inch from front to back.

I stand corrected. It apparently is pre-1900 if the seam stops short of the top.

The amber ones tend to be earlyer. This one is from the late 1920s. I also have an amber one in pint and 1/2 pint. I will see if I can find that thread.
