DRUGSTORES FROM MY DUMP

Here are some of the drugstores I have been finding in my new dump. The first bottle is from a year ago at another older thin layer of trash. You have to dig two or three feet, just to get to a single layer of trash. Dates 1870's to 1880's. The bottle is embossed w/ monogram / J.S. HERRING / PHARMACISTS / WAXAHACHIE, TEX. This was a first for me.

This is the reason for the first bottle. I started finding these at my new dump that dates 1890 - 1910. They do not have a city or state, but the first bottle confirms where it is from. The embossing / FROM HERRING'S DRUG STORE. I have found 4 sizes so far.

Then I found this one where he merged with someone named Sparks. This is the only one I know of, so they might not have been together to long. This one is embossed / HERRING - SPARKS DRUG CO. in banner / PHARMACISTS / NORTH SIDE SQUARE / WAXAHACHIE, TEX.

Here are some different sizes of a bottle embossed / star w/ H+M / HOOD & MARTIN / PRESCRIPTION DRUGGISTS / WAXAHACHIE, TEX. The bottle second from right has a different shape.

These two don't have a city or state, but they are also from Waxahachie, Tex. They are embossed / FEARIS PHARMACY / PURITY ACCURACY / ESTABLISHED 1883.
