Then there's this:

il_fullxfull.372847167_t2p3.jpg

"This is a bottle from the 1940s. Norman F. Steuer applied for the patten on this design May 24, 1934. The original was clear glass. This bottle came out a few years later with the bubbled glass.

Bottom of bottle reads: 4-1 outside of the Owen -Illinois trademark stamp. Below that is DES. PAT 92828.. NO cracks. NO chips and an original, slightly rusted, top." From.

Norman Steuer's patent: USD 92828 Design for a Bottle.

Now, if we're gonna sprinkle the laundry, we want one of these, yes?

I cannot imagine anyone bidding on something like this for more than ninety nine cents, but that's just me.

I may have to eat my words, on it not being a refrigerator bottle:

"Shellie, 2 years ago
I can't tell if anyone answered you or not, but my grandmother had one of these and she used as a water bottle. You could pour from it without taking off the top and she was sure no one would put their mouth on the bottle to drink from it. Are you interested in selling?" From.
