Then there's this:

"This is a bottle from the 1940s. Norman F. Steuer applied for the patten on this design May 24, 1934. The original was clear glass. This bottle came out a few years later with the bubbled glass.

Bottom of bottle reads: 4-1 outside of the Owen -Illinois trademark stamp. Below that is DES. PAT 92828.. NO cracks. NO chips and an original, slightly rusted, top." From.

I cannot imagine anyone bidding on something like this for more than ninety nine cents, but that's just me.

I hear ya on the 99 cents, I just wanna know how this bottle keeps popping up with that funky top all over the country..

Well that is an interesting thing, and it makes alot of sense... Seemed very odd to think it was coincidence, now I may have to buy one...lol
