I have a small (6"),bright teal pickle or food bottle (ovoid cathedral panals with flowers at the shoulders), that I dug out of a dump that had nothing newer than late-20s. An old-time-collector friend took a look at it and said it was a repro. Is that possible? When were the earliest repros made- and at that time did they repro pickles and foods? Thanks.

J.D....back in the 20's , about the only repos being made were of Historical flasks...probably by Clevenger Bros Glassworks and a few other places....
Have not heard about any repo pickles/foods from that era....
A teal cathedral pickle would be quite appealing and valuable to lots of collectors...
I'll do some further looking around and see if I can find any additional info.

Could you post a pic ?

And even if it was a repo...being that old it would certainly have some value and interest.
