Dug this today from a circa 1810-1830 pit in Philadelphia. Clear flint glass flared lip mostly chipped off embossed T.W. DYOTT I saw another example of this bottle years ago but wondering if anyone else has seen one.
Nice find, I have not seen them before but I have done research after finding a Dr R family med and some T W Dyott eye water medicines came up while looking at 1820 ads, Im guessing that is what you found there with a paper label. Nice historic bottle bro! I have the ad somewhere but I think there were about 5 or 6 different meds sold by Dyott in the listing
Great bottle Chris,
Here is a lengthy ad from 1809 where he indicates he is already using square embossed bottles.I will check my old newspaper again for any indication he used a round puff shaped bottle.
