We have had several eartrhquakes here in Oklahoma lately, one I was standing in my garage and seen and heard my bottles rattle on the shelf they were on. So I decided it was time to improve and earthquake proof my bottles.

I cut some wedges and set the backs at an angle.

Then I over lapped the tops (or most of them) so they could not fall forward

last I put a small 1/4 inch lip on the front. I still need to build the ones for my embossed Oklahoma bottles, theres about 3 times more of them and I am making the shelves 10 ft. on the other wall. I will post them when finished.

That is a very nice display!

For the few short ones, you could consider using wood glue and a short piece of dowel glued to the shelf above so that the dowel would go into the top of the bottle a quarter inch or so. If you later need to move the bottle and dowel location, a hot damp paper towel would soften the glue enough to allow you to remove the dowel.

Here on Guam, where we get 6.0's regularly, I use "Museum Wax" - Google it - keeps things from falling off shelves.

Those look good sodapops. I enjoy seeing the way people display their bottles almost as much as I enjoy seeing the bottles themselves.

That is the nicest garrage clock I think I have ever seen.[;)]
