Fairy light

Went out with some friends the other day and one of them found five fairy lights, four in Aqua and one in Cobalt blue [] . There was a broken one in dark Amethyst too that would have been nice complete. This one was given to me, the cobalt blue is exactly the same as this but for the colour.

hi irish, never heard of fairy lights here. it looks really neat. what was it used for? what time period where they made? thanks rhona
